What's new in Goalwise - July 2017 Edition

This is our 2nd product announcement edition and I am quite pleased for 2 reasons. One is that we have implemented two big features this month. The second is because I am not late in sending this out (a tiny but happy accomplishment)!

I will start with the big ones because research seems to suggest that our attention span isn’t all that great :D

Goalwise Investment Tracker > Goalwise App - Till now, people could not sign up and register on the app. It was only for existing users to track their investments and invest more. But that’s history now! You can now sign up, register and complete your KYC through the app! So time to ask your friends and family to download the app to reach their financial goals. :)

Advanced Redeem for our existing investors - All Goalwise users now have access to a state-of-the-art redemption feature (yeah I know, redemption - you can question our business sense but users first always). We had to renovate the redemption feature to include custom redemption so we thought we might as well add in some cool things! So in the new redeem, you have the option to redeem all your money or just the amount that is exit load free or just the amount which is tax-free/LTCG(basically the least taxable amount). The same can be done for individual funds too!

You can also see how much is locked-in (Tax Save goal) and how much is instantly redeemable (Emergency Fund).

All these numbers are updated daily based on your entire transaction history with Goalwise.

You can read more about it here. We have written a blog with screenshots and all.

You can now skip SIPs - We've introduced the option to skip your SIP in any goal for 1 or 2 months. Though we don't recommend you use this feature too often (to avoid going off track), we understand that life is unpredictable and we all sometimes need to skip an installment or two. We have also revamped the Stop SIP option.

You can access it by clicking on the Goal Planning Tool's (the purple button on the goal page) dropdown menu.

Choose your own liquid funds in the Emergency goal - Now you can choose your own Liquid Mutual Funds in the Emergency goal. We had introduced this feature in all goals except the Emergency goal because many Liquid Funds don’t allow SIPs. But now we have tweaked our system to throw an alert if you try and add a non-SIP Mutual Fund to your SIP.

CAGR returns in Account Summary Report - The third small addition is that now you will get CAGR returns for each goal when you download the Account Summary Report.

A lot of the new features and updates are based on our users’ feedback (although not everything can be taken up right away). So if you have any suggestions for new features etc that you would like to see on Goalwise, please let us know in the comments below. :)
